Out of interest, how much about the pressures of refereeing do you actually know? Or more to the point, do you have the balls to actually do what he and I do? Probably not, yeah he cocked up, it doesn't mean he was a bad referee, just human with the capability to make errors

you gotta respect refs from every sports. Because it is job they take on knowing that he will be the enemy of half of the crowd, if not ALL. It's a job that sacrifice his personal ego and value for the sake of the game. That shows their love for the sports. They are human, they make mistake.

When Graham retired we lost one of the best refs the game ever had. Constructive criticism is fair enough but to be personally insulting to him is not acceptable and comes from people who don't understand & appreciate the beautiful game in any shape or form. It's so easy to abuse refs but its always the usual spineless individuals who don't have the guts or intelligence to pick up the whistle themselves.

I have better things to do than become a ref. His performance in the WC06 was a joke, an absolute joke and was a huge embarrassment for England. Thank God he's retired after Jose made him realise what a complete wanker and tossser he was.
