Arkham Asylum can run at 1080p on the highest settings but recording with fraps really drops the frame rate so this was recorded on 720p settings.

Do you have Skyrim? How does it run?

@amBullseye Yes i do. I have been playing it for about 2 days now and it runs nicely ( I will be uploading a video of it by tonight). So far i have had a few problems but from what i can tell they are not on my end but just that the game is a little buggy still. Nothing too bad though.

What's the fps like on the more recent games? does the laptop tend to lag at all? :)

@Thisismytrollingface Well the witcher 2 is probably one of the newest PC games and the fps was around 30 on medium settings but the witcher 2 is a high end game. Other games like MW2, Borderlands, Dead rising 2, Dragon age Origins, and others like them easily hit 50-60 fps

Thanks for your previous replies, I'm thinking of getting this laptop and I want to be sure. Does it heat up a lot/ is the fan noisy/ what's the speaker quality like etc, nobody has really done any good reviews of this machine yet and Ijust want to know some of the basics like sound etc :)

@Thisismytrollingface I never really watched the temperatures on my previous laptops so i dont have much to base this on but when i play a high demanding game like Crysis the temps can get up to around 80c. I dont notice the fan and thanks to optimus technology the fan is only on during games anyway (but im used to a loud xbox 360 fan so it doesn't bother me either way) Since the speakers are on the bottom so they can be a little quiet but its still good sound quality over all

so would you say the gt555m is a great graphic card? or is it getting hot to quick?

@Thisismytrollingface Well i have been playing The Witcher 2 for a few days no on this laptop and it runs and looks great on medium settings. So based off Skyrim's system requirements i am pretty confident that this laptop can run it on medium - high settings no problem.
