It is not based off of Hellblazer except as a sanitized bastardization of

'Dangerous Habits' The John Constantine from Hellblazer is nothing whatsoever like the John Constanteen' from this film. Alan Moore who created the character of Constantine has disowned this film, None of the people who have ever written Hellblazer were involved in this film so how is it based off of Hellblazer?

Rorschach's costume looks better than Ozymandias's and Nite Owl's IMO, If you've seen the latest Wizturd (Wizard) magazine which just came out it shows what's supposed to be a still from the movie with Rorschach which I have to admit is visually impressive

even though I still have my doubts

about the film.

Dave Gibbons on the other hand supposedly has been a visual consultant on the film and likes the work that Snyder has done on it,

And the release date is supposed to be sometime in 2009

Ain't It Cool News posted some pictures of the characters in costume which has pretty much gotten some mixed reaction,

People either love those costumes

or hate them, Myself I think they look a little too Batmanish especially Nite Owl

and Ozymandias, Some of the others like

The Comedian and Rorschach's costumes even the film haters think look pretty good,

Moore himself feels that Sequential Art and Films are two seperate artistic mediums that are incompatable.

Well Zack Snyder (Dawn Of The Dead, 300) the director of the Watchmen film has said that it will be a faithful adaptation taken directly from Watchmen but a large number of fans think it's impossible to create a film that can possibly be as good as the Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons comic,

Most of Moore's comics are pretty much considered to be unfilmable in a way that they could ever be translated to the

big screen. Most of the hardcore fans of the comic and Alan Moore think that it won't work

Your welcome. I have also heard a "rumor" I'm not fully posotive, but they are to make "The Watchmen" movie I have read this comic, and I do like it. Do you know wether it will be based off the comic or not?

It's a bit like the fact that Alan Moore's graphic novels V For Vendetta and From Hell were adapted into films but that the films never really measured up to the original comics insofar as they just could never do justice to them .
