We hiked up Mount Whiteface, in Wonalancett NH June 29th 2007. Not a really high mountain, the southern most NH 4000'er with some good rock scrambling nearing the summit.
There is a slab of ledge we climb up over with the holes drilled for your fingers. This part seems a little daunting at first, but once we were up over that, it didn't seem that bad! Nice views from the summit, 4020', sunny, without much wind too, a great day for a quick hike!
We hiked from the Ferncroft Parking lot on the "Blueberry Ledge Trail", to the "Rollins Path".
