@joefunsmith Damn right. My truck broke down on the way to a gig one day. I had the truck full of equipment towed to the gig so I could do the perty for my client. I was stressed as hell but my client never knew.

I think they are being very dramatic in this case, I don't believe they just sat their in silence for hours and no one thought to go get a CD player at home or something, although, it's awful the DJ didn't show up. Like her father couldn't of gotten up and dance with her without music? BS..Dramatic biatch

Professional DJ's have contingency plans. They don't hope for the best possible outcome when something less is highly likely. They don't speak flippantly (I've got your farewell dance) after being a no show and not refunding a deposit. Pain and suffering has no place in small claims (at least in Calif.), but all actual damages are legit. If I were the groom, I would've sued in superior court and not on TV.

If she lets this ruin her 'day' and her relationship with her father ... I bet she is not with that man anymore .. he is also better off without this drama queen. When and if I ever get married ... it will be because I love the woman and nothing will hurt that. Our lives together will NOT be ruined because .... the DJ didn't show up. What a shallow piece of work she is.
