  • Both ethyl and isopropyl alcohol cause damage. NEITHER is wise to consume.

And you're wrong about people automatically drinking more to get the same alcoholic content. The human body can only hold so much volume at a given time. That's why all-you-can-eat joints don't go belly up.

  • Your body produces shit naturally too. Why don't you go consume that? Once again, you make completely invalid analogies. The body produces ethyl alcohol as a WASTE PRODUCT, just like piss and crap. You want to get it OUT of your body, not put more in.

  • Being a chemical doesn't equal being chemically addictive, dipshit. Water is a chemical. It does NOT produce the brain-altering chemistry that drugs like alcohol do.

And I don't call you names to get the point across. I call you names because you deserve them. Stop trying to debate a topic you clearly know nothing about.

  • And my point with the ethyl versus isopropyl versus salt was simply that a substance being a sterilizer does not necessarily mean it is unfit for consumption (you need salt and your body produces ethyl alcohol NATURALLY). True, beer is a very diluted alcohol, but that is why it is fairly safe to have two a day, which is all that I'm saying! And if your state has watered down beer, that just makes people drink more calories to get the same alcoholic content anyhow, which is a DUMB LAW!

  • Dude, what's with the name calling to get your point across? I thought you said you were a bio major? Excessive weight IS CHEMICALLY ADDICTIVE. You don't consider fat molecules to be chemicals? Everything in the human body is a chemical; what is so hard to understand about that? My point was that alcohol USED REASONABLY is fine, just like cell phones USED REASONABLY are fine. Like I said, ASK A DOCTOR (not google) about having one-two drinks a day! It's not stupid!

  • It isn't CHEMICALLY addictive, shithead. Or were you not aware that its CHEMICAL addiction, not psychological addiction that people are talking about when they mention drug addiction, that its the chemical addiction that makes drugs so difficult to get off of.

Oh, and yes, we SHOULD ban driving and talking on the cell phone and a number of states, including California have done precisely that.

And my point wasn't that alcohol should be banned. My point was that drinking is STUPID.

  • Isopropyl works better than ethyl but that doesn't change the fact that ethyl still sterilizes really well. Nice black-and-white idiocy

And beer is pretty dilute alcohol. Its the sugar and other stuff in the beer that is growing organisms. Salt water/baking soda has none of that.

Don't you ever wonder why we can't get high EtOH drinks just from the fermentation and need to distill it to get things like whiskey? Because the organisms making the alcohol get KILLED from their own waste products

  • Oh yeah, and you say fast food isn't addicing? Fast food makes you fat, and when you get fat you have a bigger appetite. Eating more food than you should in general is addicting. And cell phones are just as dangerous as drunk drivers on the road, should we ban those too?

  • Antibiotics don't do jack to fungus, protozoa or worm infections, dipshit. Why should I have to google anything when I already have a degree in biology? I get my knowledge from TEXTBOOKS, not google OR bronze-age mythology. You might try it sometime.

  • And what really proves UNVL sucks? You lost to SDSU.
