  • Yeah, if you want a fast sql when dealing with 100mil records fibre channel drives are the way. But setup is important. I used a mylex extreme raid 3000 and built drives interwoven between the two channels. Each mylex channel is 100 megabyte so gave 200 megabyte by setting up 4 drives in a 8 drive configuration to channal A and the other 4 drives to channel b. You gotta get your indexes right but this setup is mr. speedy.....russ
