excuse me but the pens ARE a team. yea crosby &malkin& fleury are the most common talk of the network, but you're leaving out some important faces. such as staal, talbot, gonchar, eaton, fedotenko, geurin, kennedy, kunitz, letang, etc.. those guys provide just as much as an effort &teamwork to benefit the team &deserve credit. since when do you hear of anyone besides lidstrom, osgood, ericsson& zetterberg on the wings? you know you'd gloat if they said lidstrom had a nice shot w/o goin in. :/

Whatever, Zetterberg got the Conn Smythe trophy, of course they'd talk about him, he DESERES it. Osgood, I never hear them say much about him. I hear them talk more about Abdelkader, Datsyuk, May, etc...etc now, they talk about everyone on the team. My problem is that on FSN "DETROIT" (Detroit being the key word here) they even talked crosby up. Plus he's a tool...

Ozzie's a great goalie...or was. No one can deny in his prime, and at his best he's one of the best and deserves to be in the hall of fame...but the fact that he has such extreme lows clouds everyone's vision...he's a real goalie. Ask any goalie and we'll tell you, one day we can have the best days and save everything, the very next day we could probably barely stand on our skates. Osgood is getting old, and I want him to retire...but with a bang.

ya for some reason he just sucks at the beginin of the season later down the road he gets a wake up call and starts doing better and does an amazing job in the playoffs but he needs to retire like Drake one last cup

ya i agree the list that you gave should be talked about more often but, just like you, everyone underrates the red wings until they won the 2008 cup they are getting the respect they deserve. just like your pens, i didn't even know they were an actual team until 2008. We do have plenty of players to talk about; ztterberg, datsyuk, lindstrom (lidstrom idk), rafalskie, stuart, draper, eaves, miller, osgood, howard(sometimes) franzen, etc.

The wings now more than ever have proven that their coaching, and their teamwork is something that should be preached about at every hockey practice, in every league in every state, country, and continent. They can have a 4 game winning streak, and remain a confident, and adequate threat against teams, while simultaneously missing 8 (over 200 goals worth...) of their best players...captain included.
