@p85720 Same guy. His voice has just matured. if you watch the videos from back when they first released it, they sound really different in the verses but in the choruses it's the same. I prefer Dan Layus's new technique

I like the Bob Dylan influence on this song. This is how Bob could have sounded had he tried to perfect his voice. Instead he perfected the art of songwriting, and that's why he had so many hits! Augustana -sadly enough- will always be remebered for this, and this alone. But what a beautiful song!

He IS the original voice. His voice has evolved but this is their song and the feelings still come across.

Dan Laynus is a comer man. I'm a Boomer, and witnessed the rise of Bruce Springsteen. Jackson Brown, and others. Dan and Augustana are becoming the" new American band" The songwriting is becoming great and still growing. There are few like these guys. Stay with em' I plan to.
