Scholar Tariq Ali continues with his talk on Islamophobia and how it is used by the US , UK and the West to justify its wars of aggression and Imperial hegemony and conquest. Anyone who is against American foreign policies is deemed to be "EVIL".

Tariq Ali argues that Islamophobia is used by those in power in the West as an excuse or rationale for invading Muslim countries in the Middle East ,North Africa and Asia. By demonizing all Muslims and Islam labeling Muslims as Evil it becomes easier to explain why the Western powers need to invade these lands and kill hundreds of thousands of innocent people to eliminate evil and to make those left alive to be more easily controlled by Western Imperialist powers.The United States and Britain and so on argue that Muslims who are depicted as radical and as terrorists even if what they are doing is protecting their own homeland or even their own homes from foreign invaders are depicted as "Insurgents" as "Terrorists " and ultimately as being evil and part of a conspiracy to undermine Western Civilization and to destroy Christianity and Judaism and other religions.
They also use the specter or boogeyman of Islamists extremists in order to treat immigrants as a hostile element within the Western Nations as in Europe . So those in power can justify systemic racist views of these immigrants especially if they are Muslim. They can argue that these Muslims refuse to assimilate and so put legal restrictions on them and keep their communities under surveillance and so help to stir up even more ill-feelings towards the majority of these nations. When Muslims in European countries take part in protests and demonstrations which is their right in a free and open society they are treated very differently from other groups in these nations are so are seen as a sort of fifth coulumn out to undermine and destroy Western civilization.
