This game was fantastic! I could never beat it without using the infinite lives cheat. I remember reading in Commodore Format (or Zzap, can't remember which) how to do the cheat and didn't believe it...you had to wet your finger and rub it backwards and forwards over the joystick ports...Clyde would dance...When he started flashing, cheat was active...I know, you dont believe me but if you still have access to a real C64, try it...THAT my friends, is coding genius by The Bitmap Brothers

@zombiemod Don't say old post, say 2 years later than necessary.
The Atari 800 was actually more capable of smooth scrolling than the C64 as you could define the start of video memory from any point, whereas for the C64 you had to copy the whole screen across, and the CPU would require at the very least two frames to copy it in graphics mode so you had to double buffer.
They're both interesting machines, though. I own neither - I own a Sega Master System, which graphically beats both.

The Commodore 64 bring us something, what the other machines can not. How could it be ? I think it 's impossible, to figured out how. It 's just amazing.

I remember this game. I was really bad at it though (couldn't make it past this level.)
No way would a stock Atari 800 be able to do ANYTHING as good as this; note the sprites, the smooth scroll, mixed-mode graphics (hires "ACME" AND lo-res on the same raster lines....)
C64 was the best - END OF
