i love that book. it seems alaska's guilt of letting her mom die, made her commit suicide cuz her labyrinth was her guilt(it did make her suffer) and if she forgot she felt guilty. ironically, pudge feels that if he forgets her, then if would be guilty of forgetting her completely. maybe that's why he wants to know her last words. am i understanding this correctly?
