This episode is based in real events lol (The war of the worlds)

Music of the last 30 years is just not exciting like this little "Way Out Theme" by the Way Outs! We all saw how bad the music was on the New Monkees. Music of the 50s and 60s will always sound so fresh and alive. It is low tech as opposed to the overproduced, sterile sounding, not real instruments in some cases, crap from 1980 on(with a few exceptions). Analog is better than Digital, etc etc....Mono over stereo( in most cases). All the music on the Flintstones was good! Rock Roll!

Did you hear that the guy who made Family Guy bought the rights to Flinstones and is planning a modern sitcom?
I wished that were bull, it isn't.

Are we not men.....

I think the whole episode was an homage to H.G. Wells "War of the Worlds" broadcast back in the 30's that spooked the nation into thinking we were being invaded by Mars.

@sharonelea Wow you send it, you're saying exactly what I'm saying, those were wonderful times to be alive and young.

Amen to that sister ! South Park is absolutely disgusting & Family Guy is just wrong ....

Yes - culturally the 1960's was sure an amazing time to grow up in - alas it was also an excruciatingly volatile time in every way - wars, civil unrest, revolutions, rebellions, protests which I guess gave rise to such a rich variety of music and art. This fun little song included which has stayed with me for all these years.

Classic!!!!
There isn't anything today that can compare to the fun cartoons and shows we had growing up. The music takes me back to when we could just dance crazy and laugh at something really funny and not have to worry if it was going to offend anyone. I'll take all the shows from the 50's, 60's and 70's any day!! Nothing compares !! Thanks!!

I understand the Way Outs is a fiction band. I guess this was made like a parody of the beatles when they were hiting the US charts by those times. Am I right?
