@Maetel22 Ja, Bismarck wollte eigentlich nur einen Teil des Elsaß. Man muß sich auch in die damalige Zeit zurücksetzen. Viele Jahrhunderte (vom 30 jährigen Krieg-1870) sind die Franzosen über das Elsaß nach Dtl einmarschiert. Und nun wollte man einen Puffer haben. Frankreich wollte seit 1866 einen Krieg mit Preußen um eine deutsche Einheit zu verhindern.

@Amnesty4Germany Bismarck hat den Juden auch 1869 die volle Gleichberechtigung gegeben. Was an B. zu kritisieren ist ist allein seine Rolle während der dt. Revolution 1848 und der dt.-öst. Krieg 1866. Nach dem letzten Verteidigungskrieg hat er Frieden gehalten. Sein berühmtestes Zitat:
