You can't have a hybrid tax code because the reason people want the fair tax in place is because the richest aren't paying the taxes they should because there are loopholes in the existing tax system.

Fairtax is a farce, -- read their fine print. Besides the massive tax on people -- on rent, on food, on utilities, on everything -- its a massive tax on city and state governments. Your city, your county, your state, will have to pay massive taxes on every dime they spend. That may sound great to you, but

1) they hide this

2) they hide this

3) they hide this

4) city and states would have to raise massive revenue to pay it

5) they hide this

Suppose you make 30K a year, and FT passes.

Suppose you pay 600 month rent. Now you will have 200 in sales taxes on your rent.

Suppose you get sick - big medical cost. Cancer. You will owe sales tax of 50K just on your cancer surgery.

Fairtax says -- don't worry - your insurance will pay it.

Dumb fuchs - only people pay taxes.

Fairtax math depends on 700 billion in SALES taxes just from medical cost.
