I actually just purchased the same year as well.

unfortunately mines keeps breaking down on me.

Do you know how much it costs to get it painted at a shop? roughly?

The painting can be quite a range, anyhwere from $300 for a Macco job if you do the prework to $2000 min for the super professional. I did not have that money, so did it myself at dad's garage. Overall it came out very well, but you can tell its done by an amatuer, if you look closely :-)

i have the same year! but mine is tan. and it was cancer on both sides of the car...its right behind the vents that are behind both the windows. do you know how much it costs to remove the cancer?

my dad just got one of these couple days ago, so classic, got the same color, but ours wont even start in the first place, its gonna be a fun project.

I have the exact same 74 super beetle yellow, and replaced the floor pans in it. The only rust was on the pans, didn't body off it. Am in Oklahoma, and beetle is 98% rust free. Awesome video...
