I read her autobiography and she was very scathing of the Hammer films and thought that they were a bit of a joke really and only did them for the money. I don't think she realized the impact that they've had and will continue to have in the future as a very iconic era of British film history. I'd rather watch any of the old Hammer films than today's infantile 'slasher' movies. Ingrid was a great beauty and these films will preserve that beauty for generations to come.
