India is the largest producer of mangoes in the world and has been extensively exporting through the years. There are varieties and varieties each one more rich, succulent and superlative in taste. Of which Alphanso is the undisputed leader. But, with the Alphanso facing many after-ripening issues - physiological disorders such as spongy tissue, bacterial or fungal rots, Kesar is gaining an edge as far as mango exports are concerned.
