Twerton Tunnel 23.12.08

After being incredibly bored at home, I decided to walk down to the tunnel for an afternoons filming. I'm soo pleased I went!
Considering it's Christmas week, there were a few Freight. The first was 60004 running as 0C41 ADJ-Westbury running 165 early! A decent 2tone from that. 50 minutes later, 66548 blasts out of Twerton Tunnel with 4V60 'The Bins'. Inside the tunnel the driver randomly gave an almighty blast, and he even gave me a small tune too! But the best was yet to come. 66106 works 6V62 running 90 minutes late, but I don't think the driver cared in the slightest! He came out of the Tunnel horns ablaze, certainly one of the loudest I've recieved in a while! A Huge thankyou goes to the driver! It certainly seemed as if the Freight Drivers were in the festive spirit.
Fortunately, the majority of Passenger drivers were also in a festive mood. HSTs came blasting in both direction, mostly with 2tone s but some with tunes, FGW units (158s, 150s and 153s) also blasted the horn a fair bit on local and long distance services. The last 158 with a crazy tune, dispite me facing the opposite direction! Also the SWT drivers seemed to be in the festive mood with some 2tones along the way.
We also see a Voyager on 5C41 which is a route learner from Bristol-Taunton

this is the best video you have done in 2008 because most of your others all have loads of hsts and 158s but this video has 150s 153s 158s and hsts have you got any with new fgw class 143 on  i am just asking because i am going to bristol temple meads tommorow and hopefully will see lots of hsts and dmus definatly the xc hsts see if you can get a video of this new 143 it is 143617 see if you can get a video of it is just like the 150 153 and 158

Looks magnificent I must say! 143603 should be released soon. You'll have a fun filled day at Bristol tomorrow. great video i see a 166 the other day and its horn sounded like a 158 horn lol
