A problem with the brake system in the 2010 Hybrid Prius is the latest in a series of safety issues causing a crisis for Toyota. The U.S. Transportation Department has now opened an investigation into brake problems in the Toyota Prius. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says they've received 124 reports from consumers complaining about the car's brakes.
Akio Toyoda cried like a baby and said IM SO SORRY on tv in front of congress and the world for a reason! Toyota knows the truth but wants us too forget. I will not forget and I will NEVER own a toyota!

so let me get this straight: the computer glitches, causing the throttle to stick wide open and the car to speed out of control. got that. so why cant the driver put the car in neutral and let it coast to a stop then shut the engine off? oh and not die? i agree that the probelm is toyota but i have to say that people are too stupid to drive a car.

Check the news. A Toyota Prius in California just went out of control on the freeway- possible stuck accelerator issue.
Keep buying foreign!
I agree, it's an electrical fault!

why is it title "Toyota Prius" whereas the concern is about the Avalon. In one case (Avalon) it is a hardware problem (sticky pedal), in the other (Prius) a software problem.

Wasn't Toyota one of the major recipients of "CASH FOR CLUNKERS"?
