  • Hi keni, great video always struggled with alternating thumb, after playing this tune i suddenly realised i was doing it,my only problem is playing some of the chords,i use slide on my third finger instead of my pinky, are there any alternative chords to make it easier,

  • @retardedjoe12 Thank you for your comment. I am glad to hear you found the lesson helpful. Slide player, Mike Dowling wears the slide on his third finger. You just need to develop the use of your pinky for fretting notes. Happy Holiday. Enjoy.

  • Great vid and lesson, and nice version of this song! And an easy way to get the feeling of slide, if your a starter like me :)

    Greetings from Sweden!

  • @Affe13371994 Thank you for your comment. I am going to be teaching a complete series of Gospel songs. If you are interested in learning this style, please consider purchasing my instructional video CD 1. It begins a 3 CD course on bottleneck slide by exploring Open D tuning. In addition to learning songs, it contains basic fingerpicking exercises and the techniques and theory I use to figure out and create arrangements. Additionally, you can feel free to write if any questions arise. Enjoy

  • I was wondering when you were going to post some new videos! thanks Keni

  • @FLTlingit Thank you for your comment and encouragement. Although, I enjoy producing instructional videos, they are rather time consuming. Tabbing out the song, recording the clips, and editing the video. Glad to hear you enjoy them.
