@TheFlowMeister I have met with two of Yip Man’s top 5 student’s ‘Tsiu Sheung Tin’, ‘Wong Sheung Leung’ and group/ private students of Yip Man’s ‘Ho Kam Ming’ and Woo Fai Ching , All has stated; that Yip Man has never taught the long pole to anyone within the 18 or 19 years he taught in Hong Kong and he was never seen doing the form but in one 10 sec clip; what I’m saying is, Yip Man has never incorporated the pole form in his system….

Most beginners or practitioners from 5 to 8 years sometime a lot more, don’t have a clue about this…

@RandomFjortiz I disagree because I am free to you use you tube as I see fit. Having said that I do understand the point you are making and thank you for watching and sharing your opinion. In future I would probably limit the amount of stills using them only to enhance the vid not dominate it. Thanks again.

May I ask, why are both practitioners right heel's lifted of the floor? Thanks for a superb video :)

@TheFlowMeister Hi, Thanks for watching our vid. Chinese martial arts has several basic techniques/stances that are fundamental to the art such as Ma Bu (horse stance), Gong bu (bow stance) and Xi bu (empty stance). It is said that the pole was introduced to the wing chun system by a Shaolin monk named Gee Shin. Both practitioners in the clip are performing Xi bu (empty stance) which is one of the shaolin fundamental stances.
