Yeah, That famous Asian movie star is a joke himself, He couldn't even vote in his own "country". and yet he criticizes and offends the entire island of 23 million people. It's true Taiwanese politics is not perfect. All democracies go thru the same phase. I would say that time will tell. for now I enjoy the freedom this little island has to offer. At least I don't worry about being arrested for voicing what I don't like about the government. . You have a nice day!!!

He was right.
Taiwan has had many years to fix this, but it's still a problem.
Reason is that people in Taiwan are not good at communicating and can't control their anger in a tense situation.
Not all, but many people here are so childish that if you told them that, they would reply by saying "No - You are childish"!
Best to not take anything in Taiwan seriously, just have a good laugh about it all.
