@SASLeader15 lucky for you this gun isn't in cod (yet)

HK416 is more better than M4!

@Frankfritz The two position gas regulator is not, as far as I know, what is causing the piston the seize. The piston seizure problem would happen to a non-Norwegian spec 416. It also happens on just about any other gun, but it's a big problem on a 416 (or other gas piston AR) where you have to remove the handguard to break the piston loose. Any other gun, you'd simply rack the charging handle with authority (or slam it against a heavy object). That's why it's a serious problem.

@Nater245689 Norway made changes in the rifle that HK warned them about, but they did it anyway and started having the odd problem.

@SonOfAWhisker Also, from a purely technical standpoint, the SCAR is a better design. Gas piston ARs can be very good weapons, I've shot both the HK MR556A1 and the LWRC M6A2. I definitely liked the LWRC better, weight was more in line with a DGI AR. Still, they definitely have more recoil than a DGI AR or a SCAR. Not to mention that the AR-16/18 operating system of the SCAR (somewhat modified) has decades of service in other weapons (G36 and AUG in particular).

@SonOfAWhisker I'd say the SCAR would be the one to get. The HK 416 is having some problems in Norwegian service, there SOF units chose to stick with the C8 (licensed-built M4A1). The only real issue with the SCAR is the stock, it tends to break. That's nothing that can't be easily rectified. About the only maintenance an M4 requires is oil. Unfortunately, the Marines and in particular the Army have this backassward idea that battle implements must be white glove clean.

@Nater245689 I dont think you're giving the these new carbines enough credit haha ;) personally i think the 416 is a better choice over the M4A1 because it does much better in sandy or watery enviroments along with the SCAR they also don't require as much maintenance as the M4A1
-
@SonOfAWhisker Not really. They're both highly reliable. The only real advantage for the SCAR is shooting suppressed. You don't get nearly as much carbon buildup.
Don't say which gun is better until you actually shoot both and compare you COD Faggets

I don't have any personal experience with this weapon, but I'm liking what I'm hearing about this weapon so far. Combining the functionality of the good old AR-15 design with advanced German engineering. Getting the best of both American and German designs. I love German guns and I love American guns, so this to me is practically perfect.
