You have to admit though. He's a pretty stable pilot. No pun intended. Here I see poor judgement on BLM in nudging the horse with the Helicopter. Inexcusable and not right at all. He clearly is trying to get the horse down the hill not up the hill. Although I can say it most likely did not hurt at all. That horse weights close to the same as the aircraft (within 500 pounds) which is suspended by air trust downward. Touching an object of that size would merely move he helicopter; not the horse.

No offense but you do not comprehend what is going on. The pilot made the decision to come in contact with that animal. If you comprehend wild horses you understand "shut down" when you see it. He created more distance for the wranglers. That chopper should have backed off entirely... This IS NOT the first time this pilot has come far too close. Many times he chases single animals at high speed for distance and comes far too close. It is not acceptable and a Federal Judge agrees.

How can the American government allow this sort of abuse? If it happened here in United Kingdom these pilots would be imprisoned. This is exactly why BLM round-ups are shrouded in secrecy - the injuries these horses and burros suffer during round-up and transport are horrific. BLM do NOT tell the truth on their web-site.

I do comprehend what is going on If you read my reply I said it was poor judgement I was just explaining the point of contact being not as bad as everyone is making it The bad part is chasing the poor horse around and up a hill. The horse is scared & tired They should have backed out I was just saying that the contact most likely didn't hurt I am also a Private airplane Pilot and I can appreciate the maneuvers performed but it's still BS what they did here
