  • i remember when i though cao cao was pronounced cow cow and made a custom character called cao pat

  • @AquaticIdealist Well, apparently i'm not the first person to come and say it isn't butchered, so I'll say something new. It's not like final fantasy, where "parusu" translates into Pulse, and what not, Gongsun Zan was pronounced as it would be said in chinese.. I mean, it's not like the chinese dub is saying "gungsn zeeiin" or anything like that >.> plus, there is an actual chinese dub option in this game, so we could compare the two

  • Yuan Shu's name was more butchered than the great Gongsun Zan

  • @AquaticIdealist

realy? thats actualy how i pronounce it as well. how is gongsun zan pronounced for you guys?

  • ever since i played these series of rotk i always hated Liu Bei and adored Cao Cao but when i created my own force using a new officer i always 1st eliminate Cao Cao he always gives me headache when i let him be, he conquered castles so fast...

  • @AquaticIdealist Sorry if I sounded arrogant. Basically it is risky to pronounce a name in another language. If you're talking about Russian people, for example, would it not be better to use Russian instead of English or Chinese or Japanese or whatever? It may cost more for the budget, but using the original/intended language with the release's language might be better. This is not an anime in that we're referring to historical people so you can't exactly change the names to fit the dub.

  • @travisanderson7 Proper when you try to use English, maybe. If they actually used a Chinese Dub they could probably get away with butchering the names. But I agree that they've been more wrong from the beginning.

  • @AquaticIdealist Actually those are the proper pronunciations. They've always been wrong up until then.

  • I don't think there's an Xbox version of this game, the series has been released on pretty much all other platforms though...

  • what systems are ROTK11 for? i know there's one on the pc but what else ps3, xbox 360? what?
