ShareTheMusic.com is an innovative and unique project since it does not distribute music files but it acts as a middleman among those who are willing to share their music - by enabling other Internet users to listen to it.
People having a particular piece of music on their hard disk can broadcast it to only one listener at a time, and it cannot be copied by saving to the disk of another user. Owing to this, the copyright of authors, performers and producers is observed.

ShareTheMusic.com is free and available for all the Internet users disregarding their geographical location - music fans can offer access to their favourite songs to other individuals from all over the world.

Legality:
- ShareTheMusic.com does not host and/or store any music (such as files/recordings).
- ShareTheMusic.com retains the information about the music resources that are provided by its registered users.
- ShareTheMusic.com acts as an intermediary between the sender (registered user acting as a source) and a recipient (registered user acting as a destination).
- Every registered user participating in music sharing acknowledges that the shared music has been legally acquired.
- The music provided via ShareTheMusic.com is available only for on-line listening; it is not available for copying and/or publishing (no copying, hiring, renting).
- The music listening process is on the one-to-one basis; the provider of a given music piece makes it available at any moment only to a single recipient (no public performance and broadcasting).

Is this site for real? I joined, but because my current computer is Windows 7 64bit ShareTheMusic will not work. Which surprises me since most software seems to cooperate with the WOW6432 node. I have sent several emails to request if there is any updates pending or some software application to get the ShareTheMusic setup to work on my system. I am not about to run an XP OS just to pacify one site. Any help would be appreciated.
