Aris Christofellis, sopranist. Il tenero momento, Cecilios aria from Lucio Silla, first sung by castrato Venanzio Rauzzini. Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, age 15-16 for Milan opera season, 1772-1773. Libretto by Giovanni de Gamerra with alterations by Metastasio.

This is one of Aris Christofellis' best recordings ever. I heard him several times live and all what I can say is that only very rarely his recordings (even the best ones) captured the actual fullness of his voice. Christofellis' voice is incredibly rich of harmonics and really full and bodied. In this recording I can find nearly the same quality of his voice as it's heard live.

@plavos I fully agree with you here! Chiristofellis IS a Phenomenon! Who is arguing it? It's just some of his recordings are stunning and really "almost supernatural", and some are not very good where the sound of his voice is somewhat strange. I'm not a sound technician. This recording is of very high quality and it sounds wonderful!... Thanks for posting this piece, of course, and for many other masterpieces on your channel.
