  • What is wrong with my TrimTech Briggs & Statton lawn mower? When I tried to start it didn't want to, so I pressed the prime button. Now the petrol just pours out of the prime button. What to do???

  • @wab123ism u might need a new primer bulb

  • I bought a mower brand new with this/similar engine. I used it once with no problems, I let it sit for about 3 weeks, and now it will start and run for about 1 second then shut off. It will stay running if i pump the primer during that time, but shuts off instantly when i don't. The gas was new then. Does this just sound defective?

  • @memoryfox could have moisture in the gas, i would replace the diaphragm and dry out the tank like in the video

  • Why don't you just spend the $3 for the new kit that comes with new gasket, new diaphragm and screen. It will last longer and you know it will run when your done.

  • @NOLIMIT69NOLIMIT2000 it has a new kit already

  • @alan4391 It's important to have safety glasses let me tell you that... I was working on a mower and got carb cleaner in my eye, not fun!

  • HA SAFTY GLASSES LMFAO DUDE !

  • Great tutorial thanks. This really helped me fix my mower which was revving up and then slowing down. I had tried cleaning the air filter and changing the spark plug but on opening the carby it was clear there was a lot dirt in the bottom. Thanks again!

  • those gaskets look different.

  • Did everything in the video except replace the gasket and diaphram and the engine still runs high to low rpm or the term i learned is galoping what else can i do.

  • Great tip about taking a picture before starting

  • @thuntee73 I have a Briggs and Stratton 4 HP mower.I have had it since 1996.I has never missed a beat.Always been reliable.I just changed the spark plug. It was due, it was the original one.lol

  • @thuntee73 wow that's unfortunate

  • Fantastic tutorial. Well videotaped and very easy to follow. Thanks!

  • Thank you for this video! Was having problems with mine and people kept suggesting that it may be a carburetor problem. I had no idea how easy this could be until finding your vid. Mower now runs like a champ!
