  • Walk. Talk. Personality....solo artists depend on skill and on-screen persona to be popular on t.v. shows...usually...just a thought.

  • How uncanny, concertgrand, you are exactly the same age as Gordon Cree! I've always loved the style this was written in. Leroy Anderson is one of my greatest musical heroes - thanks again for this brilliant performance! chuck

  • In the spring of 1959 I was a student at Tulane and was lying in my bed early one evening. The windows were open. The New Orleans Symphony was rehearsing in the school auditorium next door. When they began playing this Leroy Anderson composition, I got up, went to the auditorium to ask what it was. It's been my favorite of Mr. Anderson's compositions ever since.

Gordon Cree plays it as I invision it. Very spirited. Wonderful! Thanks for posting this for all to experience

  • I was creating a Leroy Anderson playlist, and had to do something new. So much incredible tribute has been done internationally with his music, I had to create a 'Leroy Anderson International' playlist. That way there's no song duplication on the basic list and compelling renditions like this are featured in their own right. I'm sorry concertgrand has't signed in since March - you've shared a beautiful song by a skilled artist with us ! ! ! !

  • Gordon is a man who takes music and gives it to his audience in his own personal way. Great voice also and he never fails to give anything but a good perfomance. He will be a big name. Best of luck for the future Gordon. Don.

  • Absolutely Brilliant ! Thank you for posting this.

  • Such excellent playing. I have just heard the clips which he recorded on the Blackpool Tower Wurlitzer. I can't understand why I've never heard of Gordon before. Truly amazing performance!
