Yuja is my favorite pianist. Her technical skills are indeed extraordinary, but this is only half of the picture. Her music is so clear and her musical decisions are fantastic. I can't stop listening to her. Thanks for posting this concerto.

Argerich's recording of this concerto under Claudio Abbado is generally considered to one of the greatest performances of this concerto, if not the greatest. I believe that is what he is referring to.

Yuja Wang, who must be 20 by now, is a highly talented pianist and one with an excellent temerament for Prokofiev. I hope she goes far, but with all the excellent competition out there, it is difficult to survive. I think she will, though. I think she has the virtuosity to stand with the finest pianists of the day.
