Version 1 got a C.... I'm still waiting for Version 2 to come back.. How did you know what it was about? ... weird sexy poem . but then fleas don't turn me on really.

PS, redraft your coursework!
The whole poem is about him trying to convince a girl to sleep with him. The speaker is comparing the girl's loss of virginity to the insignificance of the flea, and implies that the flea sucking the girl's blood is actually a lot more serious (however insignificant still) and almost intimate than if they were to have sex. Look out for the sexual connotations, puns and references! By the end of the poem, she kills the flea and he doesn't get laid. Gutted.
