My Lord Toshizo Hijikata

This vid was made on boredom plus a love for the great Lord Toshizo Hijikata. I was also kinda annoyed with the fact that everyone believes that he was a cruel, cold-blooded demon(which he may have been...), but I used some softer pictures of the characters based off him... Lord Aoshi Shinomori from Rurouni Kenshin, and of course Lord Toshizo Hijikata from Peacemaker Kurogane.

This is my first time using Windows Movie Maker, but it was actually rather fun to make this. ^__^ I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!!!

Actually. If you read the creator of the anime's interviews he says that yes, Aoshi IS based off Hijikata Toshizo. Almost every character in Rurouni Kenshin was based off someone in the Shinsengumi and the show is actually like a faint history lesson if you know where to look. ^.~

HIJIKATA-SAMA!!!!!!

In full honesty, I have nothing but the sincerest respect for the vice-commander of the Shinsengumi who fought so valiantly for his own idyllic wishes for his nation. Neither his military genius nor his human worth can never be measured. Upon watching NHK's Shinsengumi! Drama, "Hijikata's Last Day," I found it hard to maintain a nonchalant expression even though it was but a series. Watch it if you can--it's on youtube.

I love this vid!! I just thought I would point out if you didn't already know; Hijikata was the vice commander of the Shinsengumi not the second captain (that was Nagakura)
