@raynar01 It takes longer to level up because each level takes more and more experience to earn. Once you've earned enough experience for the next level, your chances to level up will improve greatly.

much as the DMW moves are cool, I thought this random aspect was the worst part of Crisis Core. it's annoying grinding for ages with no guarantee of a level up/materia level up. and I had the lucky stars materia equipped!

still, gotta love Zack running on the spot. OH YEAH! I'M ON FIRE NOW!

I don't know if anyone's asked this but I read that the higher level you are, the least likely it becomes to level up during modulating phase. Is this true? I'm at level 60 purchased the Lucky Stars Materia for DMW, and been doing Missions 1-1-3 to 1-1-6 and Mission 10-3-2 for leveling, standing there taking the abuse and no leveling happening. Just materia leveling and Power Surges. I know it's out of my hands, but anybody got tips? message me or reply to this please. Greatly appreciated.

It's random just think of it like a slot machine game and you cannot choose it's like sort of random and you can't really choose as well all of it is random

k i just bought it and i don't seem to understand the battle system to well. the problem isn't attacking or magic, it's does the DMW come at random? or CAN i choose when to use it? also, can you choose what slot a certain picture lands on?

sigh... allow me to explain why? coz i like to explain!!! yes u can move around with your character you can attack with the x button and switch commands with the L and R button and the dmw allows u to do special things such as limits or lvl ups or summons or othere things u may also give yourself new abilities by collecting materia and equiping them you can collect them by doing various missions and sometimes in the game too thank you lol hope you enjoyed my explaination

I'm not 100% sure, but i think it's like this: The closer the value of the numbers on the DMW are to eachother, the higher is the level of the Limit Break. And you can also press X to make the Modulating Phase-scroll stop. That way, you can be more accurate of getting a successfull Limit Break.
