The idea of doing such a video came 4 years ago. At that time, everyone was trying to make their own multi-author project, competing their originality and concept. We had the discussion that we should do our own multi-project, however we didn't want such a huge project as "Animix" or "AMV hell" that could involve up to hundred of editors, because of the obvious time consuming side of that kind of project. However we wanted to compete to the most original concept in multi-author project !! after all being two make the thing a multi-author project.
We wanted in that video to do an interactive dual-author project in the way of it is done in radio rap clash. The first editor starts by taunting the second author which answer by attempting to make a better video than the previous one, and then the first author answer by changing the type of video but trying to do an even better video and etc ... So that is the concept we tried to bring to screen. After a short introduction the Battle starts with a track by Hito representing Spike fighting Andy as a space cowboy rival. Tyler answered by picturing the rivalry between Souchiro and Takayanagi in Tenjou Tenge. The battle is launched ! The next track is a "Love united"-like (by Istiv) video by Hito using One Piece. In LU, characters was singing, but in that one they dance ! Tyler answer by doing also a dancing track with a partly pervert oriented anime which is followed by a totally pervert track by Hito.
The track after is what we call "split" (there will be two of them). In that split, instead of sharing the time, we share the space. That's why the screen is splitted. The theme of this split is the rivalry between the characters, in whatever field. This splited part is alternated by JanKen plays which are a kind of battle. The video restart with a School Rumble track by Tyler, which is followed by Asuka's taunt and a tribute to "Engel" (by K.Kaldwell) by Hito. After a little interlude the battle starts back with a track by Tyler picturing Hale playing Donkey Konga game on a very fast music (the end of the game is just cheat, impossible to beat). The TV is then switched by Hito's track on Excel Saga ... yeah it's dance video again. The next track is Tyler's job and consists in a parody of "Love united" but this time it is a kind of "Hate United" displayed by a large bunch of anime bad boys.
Then there is the second split that pictures Tyler's and Hito's past videos from year 2000 to present (at that time, it was 2005). You can see the evolution of both editors from their first videos to their last ones. The rumour says that none of Tyler and Hito included in that part a sample of their very first video ! But if you have a close look you'll see that they sometimes both used strange anime in their videos. The last part is oriented to the clash between Eminem and Christina Aguilera impersonated by Onizuka from GTO and Chidori from FMP. This is also the last part of this battle. We hope that you liked it and you had a good time to watch it.
PS1: Some of the songs used in this battle are French ones, which maybe make the joke difficult to understand for non-French speaking people. We'll ponder about making a translation or at least an explanation.
PS2: This project was started in 2003 and took more than 1 year for being completed + One additional year to take the time to make the final encode and release it ; So long ... because of the lack of free time of both authors.
PS3: because of PS2, some effects may appear old and cheesy... Anyway we had fun to make it at that time and that is the most important ! But please remember that this was done 2 years ago.
PS4: Eggs. There is plenty of them in this video. Istiv's Logo, Tyler's alien rat, flying Grendizer and of course a lot of Pandaman !! Have fun to find them all.

Onizuka looks so much like Eminem, it's scary.

There two parts here that I can see.
The speeding car background is from Paranoia Agent. It from the Opening scene. The other part are the characters dancing in front of that scene and the other scenes that are shown are from DearS.
So in short DearS and Paranoia Agent. Though there might be more but most of it, if not all of those scenes between the time you said are from those two anime.
