Jam Session 3

Me playing guitar, just making up some riffs on the spot. I'm playing on an ibanez grx20 with a dimebucker and on a behringer gmx112 through a ampeg 4X12 cab.

how does that ampeg work for you? would you recomend it for iron maiden/metallica kind of stuff?

The cab has 4 12" Carvin British series speakers that were first made in '89 to replace Celestions when Carvin stopped using them. Steve Vai used them for some time. The speakers have great tone, clarity, and balance, however, they havn't been made since 2001. If you can't find any of these speakers you could look into Celestion, maybe try greenbacks.

i was wonderin, is the whammy on this guitar pretty good? cause people have been saying that they have problems with it.

The whammy sucks, it doesn't work well and it takes your guitar out of tune, however most whammy's will. If you plan to make a lot of use of a tremolo arm, or a whammy bar, you might want to go with a locking tremolo system like on a lot of ibanez rg's and jackson dinkeys. However they require a lot more work in stringing and setting up your guitar, but they will stay in tune great and you have a lot of whammy control.

i like playing from punk pop (blink 182) to trash metal(metallica), and im thinking in buying this guitar,maybe i could work in many different styles, so sincerely do you recomend it to me? because i want to buy a cheap but good electric guitar.

kicked all the asses dude......gr8 face melters.....i hv got the same guitar....even if i don't use whammy bar it goes out of tune after some crazy bends.......how d u deal with dat? Iam pissed off retuning my guitar everytime. any tricks?.... btw hv u tried grg121...i found its a fixed bridge and gr8 for metal guitarist.....doubt abt the playability though? wt d u say?
