A flash flood took the entire Manila by surprise! A raging river occurred in the streets of Taft Avenue where we got stuck. We were trying to get out to catch a flight to Ninoy Aquino International Airport but failed. This video is the actual footage before we actually submerged in the waist line deep flood waters from Typhoon Ondoy's wrath. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the Airport and surrendered just a few kilometers away and went back to our original post. Rain subsided after 8-10 hours. But the streets were all impassable.
LOL that girl that said "my god believe that shit" is my friend agee.. :P
yea... the flood was really bad, I live on the other side of the street...

I hope people in Manila will finally learn to dispose their garbage properly especially plastic, they always clog drainage. The biggest worry is CHOLERA once the water subsided. God bless people of Philippines for their resilience and innovation. Only in Philippines you'll see people make-do of what they have for survival.

why thank you @fideles08... Filipinos have tremendous amount of coping mechanism due to poverty and a lot of crisis. In disasters like these, there's no way but to step up and learn from our previous mistakes.
I'm pretty sure that this is a learning lesson for everyone. Pray for our country this week since we are anticipating two more deadly typhoons...
