@Fiondra Idra's brother that became king had banished the other brother and had captured Idra. anyone squeamish or sensitive should stop reading now, i will be blunt. the king had Idra tortured and gang raped. i cant remember if she was killed or managed to kill herself, but it doesn't matter when a whole mercenary company is tearing the palace apart

I have read every single Valdemar books and the Oath (and Vanyel's) are my favorite. There is always going to be people who do not like her books, and there will always be people who love her world enough to wish to be apart of it. Each their own. I find the songs while reading (or re-reading) enhances the pleasure

Um... minor correction for your lyrics... Its Oath breaker, not Earth-breaker. Remember its the Oath breaker clause of the Mercenary Codes they invoke against the King for what happened.

@Tzia84 Oops i thought i had corrected while editing out mistakes (and there were a lot), i spotted that error when i did the first read through on the site i got the lyrics from but i guess that was one i missed correcting. Thanks for catching that i have dyslexia so spotting errors is always a challenge especially with the black text on white background most sites use. Even when going over them a dozen times i still miss some.
