I didn't see the cheetah own anything. It looked like the male lion chased the cheetah, but was either bored or didn't care and just moved on.

@suicunesrider Cheetahs can't maintain that top speed for long. A single hit from a lion could easily incapacitate the Cheetah. This Cheetah got lucky, that's all there is to it.
