If two lines are quoted & uploaded from the interview, to clear a misunderstanding about two greats, what is the problem? By the way are you hvng the copyright? @mnirmal2008 yes,u r absolutely right,Mr .Rajil continuously warn me to remove the video...on grounds of copyright..this is one of the best interview of Lataji...where she clear so many mis-understandings by Asha bhosle,rafi sb,sd burman,c ramchandra,i have complete interview...but Mr rajil won't allow me to upload...what to do.

what honesty man.... but that didnt explain why he never used lataji's voice.... may be foronce he wanted to prove that he can make it big even if he doesnt use the greatest playback singer of all times

but in process he deprived us of all those possible marvels that these both could have produced together.

i just hope no musician in future does that merely to prove something to the world...

in one of his interview,he stated that,he thought that lata mangeshkar voice was very spritual for his music,he need seductive voice which he found in asha & geeta dutt voice

may be he is right..... but come on. he mentioned that at the very moment he was offered a film he stated that mai lata mangeshkar nahi leta.

i mean if he thougt her voice was spiritual.. he could have used her voice in some bhajans or so... i think the truth is he wanted to prove the point that a composer doesnt need lata mangeshkar to make it big..... and indeed he did

yes i completely agree with u,he just want to prove that he can make good music,without taking the greatest singer.but still i believe if he use lata for some of his tracks,that song go to some other high level

thanks a lot . i always have believed that no one can be compared to lata ji . her supremacy will remain till the presence of this universe as she is the greatest gift to us from the divine and saakshaat saraswati herself resides in her voice !

You are very right sir ! OPN  could have used Lata's voice in so many ways. It is entirely due to Nayyar saab's EGO and ZID that we are deprived of so many gems that would have been created had OPN & Lata worked together and OP Nayyar is more to be blamed for this. OPN's ego was such that the great lyricist Sahir saab and producer-director B.R. Chopra stopped working with him after Naya Daur owing to some rift with OPN during the making of Naya Daur, to the best of my information !!!

Listen the interview carefully! OP has stated that Lataji would remain No.1. He never said that Lataji is the better singer than Asha!
