I've often thought that maybe the impression of an event lives on in time now and then, like a pencil writing in a notebook. Sometimes the tip of the pencil will push too hard and you'll see an impression in the notebook 2 or 3 pages on. It might explain why some hauntings eventually become infrequent or vanish altogether.

Excellent point.

Still that does not dismiss the fact that there are infact many documented accounts of whitnessing or hearing souls reliving thier last terrible moments alive by repeating the last tragic moments they had in corporeal form eternally "Like a monk continually repeating his own suicide" for example as a form of punishment perhaps? Sadly there are many questions and few to no answers. I am not buying into this rubbish that these incodents occur due to energy trapped in rocks and earth etc...

I am a little bit torn between that idea I just posted because there are infact documented cases involving souls that do indeed relive a moment or tragedy like repeating "A Monk ,for example, reliving or repeating a suicide" over and over again as a sort of torment or punishment? But how does one explain the fact that some entities are exempt from repetition and are fully aware of current time period and thier surroundings?
Sadly there are more questions and very few answers I am affraid.

So if that is the case, and they are infact aware of thier current surroundings and of the time period they are currently manifesting in briefly, Then that would totally put into question the idea "(that many paranormal investigators believe & theororized about)" that these people are indeed aware of thier surroundings and not caught in some kind of a limbo or time loop destined to relive a tragic or horrific moment at the end of thier lives?

The question I have regarding these, what to us, are quite startling sightings is...."Are these people that come round and then suddenly vanish into thin air as it were, actually aware of thier surroundings such as the century and year they are appearing in?" The American Television program "Ghost Adventures" with Zack Bagenz & crew actually asked an entity "Do you know what year this is?" and got the answer on an EVP and it answered back "2010"

First of all my compliments go out to GhostWatching for posting another batch of BRRRRRILLIANT clips of the paranormal to watch! Many thanks and keep up the great work!
Secondly, My compliments go out to Prof Archie Roy for being open and scientifically open to the very real thought that there is indeed more to a human being than just flesh and blood.
Compliments also go out to Doctor Peter Fenwick for being open to this amazing concept & acknowledging the fact that more study is needed!

Holy crap! Materialism makes for a dull and pointlessly mundane experience.
Science is so divorced from the cosmos.
'you do not HAVE a soul, you are a soul and, fortunately for you, you have a human body'...Just because you don' t remember or 'beleive' does not mean you have NOT occupied other bodies in space and time.
Existence does not begin or end at this particular density of matter; what a terrific bore skeptics/scientists are, they optimise relativity.
The blind leading the blind.

@rocketmunkey1 thats the ripple affect on the flag
What I mean is, people are familiar with the features of Men In Charge throughout history, because they had their pictures painted, they were written about. But seeing a ghost of an ordinary person.. the clothing of which your modern person might not know about.. it just makes it more interesting and maybe convincing as a Genuine experience. Dunnit?
