Alex talks with Ron Paul's brother, Wayne Paul, who was at the End the Fed protest in Dallas and appears in Alex's latest documentary, The Obama Deception. http://prisonplanet.tv/
Impossing legal morality is hypocritical when alex calls himself a classic liberal, paloconservitive, or libertarian. Most cannabis consumers dont need to be mandated to go to treatment, just like most people that have a beer or two dont need treatment. A real libertarian would understand that the govt has no business telling someone what they can and cant put into their own body ! and Ron Paul understands this, apparently alex doesnt.
I'm by no means a Marijuana advocate, but that caller's comments were moving in the direction of legalization-- not decriminalization. Alex cut the caller short, then closed the call by twisting his position by intentionally saying the opposite of what the caller intended because of his own beliefs on the issue.
Alex has maintained however that users do not need to be filling our prisons.
Cannabis is a herb/ flower ! Since when did free market Austrian economic guys support a govt run monopoly on a natural god given plant that is as common as weeds ? Alex is being hugely hypocritical !
What is alex talking about, "decriminalize" not "legalize" cannabis ? Talk about hypocrisy ! He just got done saying how much he is a free market guy and then says he wants "govt run cannabis dispensaries" ? Are you kidding ? Apparently Alex has no idea the difference between "decriminalize" and "legalize". Decriminalization wont get rid of the cartels. Even Ron Paul knows this and is a free market guy and is why he supports legalization, like alcohol and tobacco. Can some1 edcuate this fool.
Regarding ads for Gold/Silver, Seeds, etc What makes you think you will have time grow food and organize such that you can set up a buy/purchase system amongst a group where Gold/silver? Why would sellers of Gold/Silver allow you/me to purchase their gold, if my paper money is going to be of no value?
Ron Paul is actually a constitutionalist and states would still be allowed to regulate or ban drug use. It just wouldn't be a federal issue.

zeitgeisthero:
But by him advocating treatment as an alternative to jail time he's strongly asserting that he is against the use of Marijuana.
By saying the word "treatment" he's essentially saying the very activity of using Cannabis is morally reprehensible.
