no the flywheel bearing it is quite common. and it was all the electrics. they r nice 2 drive tho unlike my m8ts corsa c that's just crap

@jus360 Oh right never heard of that, didn't know it existed haha. Yeah I hate corsa, started learning to drive in an 06 plate 1.2SXI it was horrid, then a 09 plate 1.2sxi, bit better but still horrid. Passed my test in an MG ZR TD 115BHP, much better car in every way, you could actually feel what the front wheels were doing, and it was good fun.

my 214 never had a gasket go it was just the electrical system and my 100 was flywheel bearing

@jus360 Oh right the common boot loom twist and fuck up? Common on allot of hatchback cars. Flywheel bearing? Never heard of one of them to be honest, sure you don't mean thrust bearing?

@jus360 Ahh I see fair enough, it is just the head gaskets on the K-series that let it down which is a shame, this car has only had one and hopefully wont go again as it appears to have the MLS gasket on. My dad used to have a 214 wedge shape and that had done 220,000 miles and never blew its gasket once. Earlier K-series like he had had 'wet' liners so the block was stiffer, they were very reliable then.
