This is Prelude in E minor by Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV 941) from the book Twelve Little Preludes. The piano is Roland HP 203. When this video was made, I've been playing piano for one and a half years.

  • 1st Mordent!

    Triplet!

    Where are they!!

  • @myxo101 intentionally omitted.

  • Bad

    No feeling at all

All you do is play the notes but that's not enough.

  • @Gozurtju Thanks for the comment. I realize there's much to improve but this was the best I was able to achieve at that time. Personally, I don't think this was such a bad performance after only one year of learning piano. But I'll certainly try to do better next time.

  • Would everybody please stop trying to stomp on this guys fingers? His intonation is soft and gentle. His performance of this piece is haunting almost elegiac. He brought out a quality in this material that I never knew was there. Stop thinking you are aware of Bach's intentions. It makes the music small. I don't think he would want you to criticize players who make his music sound beautiful. Bach's music is not just to be enjoyed by clavier players.

  • This is ok but I noticed many things you could work on. For example, you're missing rests and your are playing 4th notes legato when they shouldn't be. You have missed the ornaments. Some notes need to be longer although at first your hand might feel awkward doing so but if you relax it and try again it will work. I've been playing as much as you as well so I understand why it can't be technically perfect at this point. I can't everything yet either but I'm working on it.

  • I am studying this pease myself. Find the video educational.
