My Sister nearly died in 1997 of kidney failure after giving birth. The Wee Boy Jason Alan didn't survive. I gave her my left kidney 3 March 2000. 8 March 2007 she gave birth to the most beautiful little girl you ever saw. She's called Sara. She even looks like me. I've survived 8 years on one kidney. I can still do everything I could before.You only need one people. The gift of life is the best gift to give. I hope this inspires anyone thinking of being a donor to do it. LOL

I am alive today because a compassionate and giving hero had an organ donor card. I received a life saving kidney 03/14/05 from a police officer killed in the line of duty. Unfortunately the number waiting on the transplant list has grown to almost100,000 in 2007.
It is so very important to have an organ donor card and to tell you family about your wishes. Would you want your loved one to die because there was no life saving organ available?
