Good place to hunt is the Morrisy and lodgepole areas starting approx. 15 KM west of fernie, check out the East basin road of the main lodgepole road, and any other roads to the north of the loadgepole road.
Hunt the pipeline of the lodgepole road to the north east, and also shufly road that was built for the pipeline back in the early 70's, this road is good for quads and takes you over the top of the mountain in good elk country.
Explore this area and you will be on elk.
