Damages - MADD Canada's School Assembly Program

Damages is a fictional story that opens in a courtroom where we meet Jesse, a young man who up until recently had a promising future. Jesse has been charged with four serious crimes. He is an impaired driver who caused a horrific car crash. Damages will have an enormous impact on Canadian students and will influence their own decision-making for years to come.

This was one of the best presentations we have had at school. It didn't tell us what to do, or give us facts that were impossible to wrap our heads around. We were given faces to names, and I am guilty of sobbing throughout the entire film. I will never forget it. Ever.

although jesses' story is fictional, the events that occured can happen to anyone. with jesses' story, there was a number of things jesse could have done to prevent this. (i watched this presentation in school) first of all, him and his friend were loaded drunk BEFORE they even left the house. how did jesses parents not notice?! the parents should of realized this. if i was jesse, i dont think id be able to live with the guilt of causing all of these events to occur :(
