The Samford University A Cappella Choir (Timothy Paul Banks, conductor) performs Charles Wood's "Hail, Gladdening Light" as part of Choral Evensong, Oct 24, 2008, in Hodges Chapel on the Samford campus (Birmingham AL). Excerpt from full service.
Actually, as an english anglican choirperson, I would say that the sopranos in particular....and the "American sound", bring a new edge and dimention to this piece which was quite an eyeopener .....different to the "Cathedral sound"......but great.....in of itself .......I will be looking for more of your postings and keep up the good work.....super.......
Absolutely beautiful!

I LOVE this piece! Great tenors! An English choir would have no vibrato in the sopranos, though, which I prefer.
I remember sightreading this on the concert, with the London Uni choir :-)
