@lmotaku I notice a lot that he doesn't mention Sony Vegas at all, which is what a lot of pro video editors use on Windows, It might be say $150, but the comparison of that plus the hardware you get on a PC the mac doesn't even hold a candle.

@ak49pro I paid 25% of the price of the best mac to get 6 cores, not 4, 10GB of ram, 1TB HDD, what did you get for $700? Nothing.

this is stupid... i started out on a windows pc using then, win 1995 all the way 2 vista until switching 2 mac 2 1/2 years ago. Mac just WORK. the work flow is unbelievable. apple builds the os & the computer. they ALL work as 1. MS makes the OS to work on a thousand different versions of pc's. that's where the problem lies
pc = works (kinda)
mac= speed, reliability, & performance
mac's are built 4 speed, reliability, and performance. the price, it's like the old saying, you get what u pay 4

@Maniicc Uh... with macs, you have to pay around twice as much for a computer as your have to for a computer of the same specs if you were getting a PC. Mac OS doesn't allow you to do shit. With windows, I can have my computer set to exactly how I want it. If shit goes wrong on my windows PC, I can fix it myself. Something goes wrong on a mac? You have to take it to the mac store and pay wayyy to much to have some asshole fix it

@simpleben09 Highly doubt it.
-
@Maniicc Haha... You are so wrong

mac's are good for people that dont know how to use computers, ive had a mac and it was like a closed box with little software a pc is like a open box with a lot of software with 1000s of free good programs too you just need to look at the number of computers sold to know whats better about 1% of people i know have a mac if its so good why do so little people own one?

Or....you cant afford it.. :)

@KyuubiNaruto1337XD "If OD's are being ousted then IDE hard drives" OK you clearly don't know anything. Hardware manufactures stopped making motherboards that support IDE hard drives without any adapters in 2006 they use SATA now. Just incase you didn't know, what Apple is doing to OD now is exactly the same as what they did to floppy drives in the 90s. Oh yeah SSDs aren't that expensive these days. They dropped to $1/GB a couple of months ago and anyone who uses SSDs for mass storage is a moron
Multimedia comes down to software. If you are using default Mac or Windows software then you have no place in this debate and either OS will be fine. 99% of software is designed for Windows and converted for Mac. PCs will ALWAYS be 30-50% cheaper than equivalent Apple Macs. PCs can be cheaply upgraded to keep at the pinnacle of graphic/video design.
Macs have no advantage, those who buy Macs wasted their money and they're mad

1. Vista's the worst OS ever made, was only a 'Fill In' OS because windows 7 was taking longer than expected.
2. Not having a start menu item added when the program is installed isn't down to the OS, the program your installing has too add start menu items...
3. Your not even a full 'Techy' if you didn't even know the program made start menu items...
4. Windows = Games - Mac = Everything else..
