Thanks man, you've just saved me £350.
I have wanted after a klon for a year or so, but you know what? I'm starting to think it's all internet hype. After all are any of the 70 drunken idiots who attend by bands gigs gonna give a shit abou the Klon's beautiful clarity? Hell no! They're just gonna keep shouting for us to play Sex on fire.

Note to self: Buy up all the Bad Monkeys thus cornering the "market", I'm gonna be rich!! Ha Ha, Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!
Seriously, great review!

A toaster? LOL! For 800 bucks that thing should be able overdrive your amp AND toast your bread at the same time!
-
Nice demo Burgs, I like this kind of test. Wish I could afford a toaster, but it isn't going to happen... maybe if it guaranteed that I'd be a better player... hum?

sound close.... cost not

Prefer the toaster

@HackerGuitarist Your 100% correct that bad monkey definitely kills any tone coming from the guitar!
-
@willievega The only problem with that is that nearly all religions tell that the believer is meant to go minister to others...and if with religious conviction comes happiness, the believer will willingly want to spread the belief to others. That's just how humans work...anyway the bad monkey is fantastic. I prefer it to the keeley TS9
the BM is a tone sucker, tho you tried to make up for it in the settings .

@HackerGuitarist No, I was trying to get the BM to do what the Klon can do. It was just a fun experiment.

Now that I own both, in all fairness, the BM can't achieve what the Klon does. Do another test please, and set you amp on the edge of break-up. The set the Klon's Gain at 10:00, Treble at Noon, and Output at noon. That's magic. I tried to get my Bad Monkey to do that, and you can't get the output of the BM anywhere close. The string definition on open strumming is gorgeous, and the tone muscular. When I set the BM and Klon like you have, I achieved a similar tone, but that was it.

@mazsenior Can't do another test, sorry, as the Klon wasn't mine and I don't have it. Perhaps you could. There was never any question that the Klon is a better device, I stated that in the info section of the video. If I could afford one and had a use for it, I would not hesitate. I may grab one of the new ones when Bill releases them.

@Burgerman666 Thanks. I wasn't being critical (at least I didn't mean to be), but since I didn't have a Klon at the time, I thought your comparison was a truer representation of both pedals. I guess it's like this; If you have a new Turbo Porsche and a '65 VW van, you can get them to both go 50 KMH. But step on the gas pedal of Porsche, and the VW is in the rear view mirror a significant distance back. Hope that makes sense. Your videos are great!

@mazsenior I hear ya, brother. Couldn't agree more, either. Thanks for writing and tuning in. Take care, Burgs. :)
